Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has sent football timelines into overdrive after pulling back the curtain on a private conversation with Nigerian superstar Victor Osimhen.

Transfer gossip rarely gets more direct than this. As Manchester United constantly searches for elite firepower to transform their frontline, club icon Rio Ferdinand decided to take matters into his own hands by reaching out directly to one of European football's most feared marksmen.

Breaking down the specifics of their private chat, Ferdinand shared how the dialogue unfolded:

The Direct Push: Ferdinand revealed that he didn't beat around the bush, telling the Nigerian international point-blank, "Victor, if Manchester United calls, you'll have to listen."

The Loyalty Factor: Despite the massive allure of the Premier League, Osimhen made it clear that respect comes first, replying, "Rio, you know I respect Galatasaray. They showed me affection. I can't even begin to talk about leaving a club that treated me so well."

The Open-Ended Future: When pressed further on whether he would completely shut the door on a formal approach from United, the star striker laughed off the direct pressure, noting that any future move would ultimately depend on Galatasaray's blessing.

Ferdinand heaped praise on the forward for his absolute professionalism and commitment to his current club's passionate fanbase, while leaving the door tantalizingly ajar for a future blockbuster twist!
